Colloidal Silver Pioneer, Dr. Henry Crooks, found that silver
in the colloidal state is highly germicidal, quite harmless to
humans and absolutely non-toxic. It is proven particularly effective
in cases of intestinal troubles. Dr. Crooks concluded from his
bacteriological experiments with silver, "I know of no
microbe that is not killed in laboratory experiements in six minutes."
Test results at the UCLA Medical Labs at the UCLA School of Medicine
in 1988 by Larry C. Ford, M.D. of the Department of Obstetrics
and Gynecology,¹ (Colloidal Silver, The Antibiotic Alternative,
Lloyd Michael Canty and Zane Baranowski) and other researchers
show Colloidal Silver killed every virus on which it was tested.
They found that Colloidal Silver acts as a catalyst and disables
the enzymes used to metabolize oxygen, causing all one-celled
microorganisms to die. Because organisms can not build an immunity
to Colloidal Silver, their mutations are just as vulnerable to
Colloidal Silver's rapid action. Because Colloidal Silver is neutralized
by body acids in the stomach, the compound doesn't usually kill
"friendly bacteria" unless too much is ingested. Colloidal
Silver is the only silver that can be safely used as a supplement
because of its bio-availability and slow rate of absorption.

Research conducted under the direction of Dr. Robert O. Becker,
co-author with Gary Seldon of The Body Electric, and colleague
and author Dr. Joseph A. Spadaro, conclude that silver works on
the full spectrum of pathogens without damage to any tissue cells.
Dr. Becker states, "While analyzing hair samples and questioning
the parties involved, I noticed the correlation between low silver
levels and sickness. People who showed low silver levels in their
hair analysis were frequently sick. They seemed to have innumerable
colds, flu, fevers, and various other sickness. I believe that
a silver deficiency may be the key to the improper function of
the immune system."
Their experiments found that silver ions, driven by only micro
amperes of current, substantially promote bone, growth. Using
silver-ion treatment, stimulating the area with silver electrodes
and low voltage electricity, they were successful in promoting
rapid bone growth in cases where bone had not healed for long
periods of time. Dr. Becker states that silver not only killed
microorganisms, it caused major growth stimulation of injured
tissues and promoted bone reconstruction. They found that
burn patients healed more rapidly, and discovered that all CANCER
CELLS CHANGE BACK TO NORMAL CELLS. This is amazing! Dr. Bjorn
Nordstrom of the Karolinska Institute in Sweden has used silver
for many years in his cancer cure method. Dr. Nordstrom says the
whole thing is "quite simple." The Colloidal Silver
brought rapid remission in patients given up by other doctors.
Dr. Becker concluded, "What we have actually done was rediscover
the fact that silver killed bacteria, which had been known for
centuries... when antibiotics were discovered, clinical uses for
silver as an antibiotic were discarded." They found that
the process is safe and free of side effects. The silver sanitizes
the affected area, allowing the body to replace bone cells without
any of the restraining effects of bacteria.

In 1997, the American Medical Association (AMA) passed a resolution
suggesting that its 300,000 members "become better informed
regarding the practices and techniques of alternative or unconventional
medicine." Many physicians still dismiss these therapies
as "New Age medicine," yet there's nothing new
about it. And the term "junk science" is being thrown
around to elicit a negative connotation toward alternative healing
modalities.

Argyria
With prolonged use of the inferior product manufactured by the
Grind Method, or diluted silver ntitrate, the silver is accumulated
under the skin causing it to turn a sickly grayish color. Often
it was the craftsmen and the workers who cleaned silver that developed
problems. THE FORM OF SILVER THEY WERE ABSORBING WAS NOT COLLOIDAL.
