My name is Don Garate and I am Chief of Interpretation/Historian at Tumacacori National Historical Park, three miles south of Tubac. I have been researching Anza for about six years with intention to publish a complete biography of him and his father, probably within the next three to four years. I do a first person, living history presentation of Juan Bautista de Anza, his life, and times wherever I'm asked to for the cost of getting me there and room and board while on location.
